Hive Media Group Dashboard

Dashboard Product Design

A shared platform for influencer management, earnings, and content performance.

Working alongside two backend developers, I led UX research, interface design, and frontend development for Hive Media Group’s dashboard. Research with the management team shaped usability and feature requirements across the manager and influencer experiences. After both developers left the company, I continued implementing features and maintaining the product requirements document.

The challenge

Understanding the workflows behind the reporting.

Hive Media needed a platform that made complex performance data useful in everyday work. Managers required tools to oversee their influencer rosters, while influencers needed direct access to their own results. Research with the management team helped clarify the usability needs and functionality the platform had to support.

  • Excel reports made revenue and content performance difficult to interpret and compare.
  • Managers needed a consistent way to review roster performance and administer influencer accounts.
  • Influencers needed a dedicated space to understand their content performance, earnings, and payment history.
  • The interface needed to support management workflows alongside detailed reporting.

The solution

Research informed workflows, built through close collaboration.

I translated management research into product requirements, interface designs, and frontend functionality, collaborating with two backend developers on implementation. After their departure, I continued delivering new features and updating the product requirements document as the platform evolved.

  • User Research and RequirementsConducted research studies with the management team to understand their workflows, identify usability needs, and define functionality. Maintained the product requirements document to reflect evolving requirements.
  • Manager and Influencer ExperiencesDesigned dedicated workflows for managers to administer rosters and accounts, and for influencers to review their own performance, earnings, and transaction history.
  • Performance ReportingConnected visual summaries with searchable tables and filters for date ranges, organic and paid activity, and post types, supporting both quick reviews and detailed exploration.
  • Frontend and Design SystemLed frontend implementation within the Laravel application and created a separate Bootstrap component library to support consistent layouts and interactions across devices.

The outcome

A connected platform with continuity beyond launch.

Managers gained a central workspace for roster administration and reporting, while influencers could independently review their performance and earnings. A shared component system supported continued development, and I carried the product forward through new features and maintained requirements after the original backend developers left.
